The 1993 King of the Ring helped cement Bret Hart’s legacy as one of the best ever. Already a former World Tag Team Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and WWE Champion, Bret’s King of the Ring win was just another impressive mark on his resume. In January 1994, he would add a Royal Rumble win to that impressive list.

The 1993 King of the Ring marked Hulk Hogan’s final WWE match for almost a decade. By July 1994, he had joined WCW, where he would work until 2000. The Hulkster wasn’t to return to WWE until February 2002.
