WWE King of the Ring 1993 kings

Bret Hart won the 1993 tournament to become the first WWE King of the Ring.

At the 1993 event, he defeated Razor Ramon, Mr. Perfect, and Bam Bam Bigelow to capture the coveted crown.

In his year as King, Bret went on to fight Jerry “The King” Lawler at SummerSlam 1993 to find out who was the real “King.” At Survivor Series 1993, Bret teamed with three of his brothers to take on Shawn Michaels and his knights. In January 1994, Bret was the co-winner of the Royal Rumble (with Lex Luger) and went on to regain the WWE Championship at WrestleMania X.
