In their first WWE match on the September 5 edition of Raw, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch surprised The Hurricane and Rosey by defeating them in a non-title match. Less than two weeks later, Cade and Murdoch did it again when it counted most. After a vicious DDT on the floor earlier in the match disoriented The Hurricane, Cade and Murdoch hit him with a clothesline–leg sweep combo to get the pinfall and secure the World Tag Team Championship.
