In what has been regarded as one of WCW’s marquee matches, Hollywood Hogan defended the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Sting at Starrcade 1997. This match was built over Sting’s hatred for the nWo, and Hogan’s tyrannical rule as WCW World Heavyweight Champion. After being out of a WCW ring since 1996, Sting was able to overcome the odds and defeat Hogan for the title, with a little help from Bret Hart.
