Vader became a three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion by defeating Sting in Dublin, Ireland during a WCW tour of the United Kingdom.

Six days earlier, Sting had won the gold in London, but Vader made sure that was a short reign. After crushing Sting with a powerbomb, Vader made the pin to regain the gold.
