One night after capturing the United States Championship, Raven was forced to put the title on the line against the undefeated Goldberg. Goldberg’s string of victories continued, as he defeated Raven for the United States Championship on Monday Nitro. Goldberg held on to the title for three months before forfeiting it after he won the WCW World Heavyweoight Championship.
