Nikita Koloff possessed one of the most-successful United States Championship reigns in the history of the prestigious championship. Koloff captured the United States Championship in August 1986, when he defeated former champion Magnum T.A. in the finals of a tournament to fill a vacancy. He then went on to hold the title for an amazing 11 months.
