The era of Oba Femi officially began when The Ruler of NXT defeated Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe at New Year’s Evil 2025 to become the NXT Champion. Williams went for a Trick Shot knee but was hit by Thorpe’s steel chair attack, allowing Femi to hit Fall From Grace to become the new NXT Champion.
