Shawn Michaels ended the British Bulldog’s record seven-month reign as European Champion at the One Night Only premium live event in England. HBK held the championship for three months before practically handing the prize over to Triple H. It was during a December edition of Raw that commissioner Sgt. Slaughter forced the D-Generation X mates to battle over the title. They did, but they made a joke of the match while they did it. In the end, HBK lay down and allowed Triple H to get the pin, the win and the European Championship.
