Tajiri’s Cruiserweight Championship reign lasted more than three months, but it all came to a screeching halt at the first edition of SmackDown of 2004. Rey Mysterio tangled with Tajiri once again and he got the better of the Japanese Buzzsaw, dethroning him. It was Mysterio’s record-tying seventh Cruiserweight Championship reign.
