After WCW awarded Psychosis the Cruiserweight Championship on October 4, 1999, the new champ went straight to work defending the gold. Unfortunately for Psychosis, he would only have one title defense, as Disco Inferno quickly snatched the Cruiserweight Championship from him. Disco went on to successfully defend the championship against Lash LeRoux at Halloween Havoc before eventually losing it to Evan Karagias.
