Andrade biography
Born into lucha libre royalty, Andrade was destined for greatness — and he’s living it in full.
A third-generation luchador, Andrade debuted at just 13 years old and quickly rose through the ranks in Mexico and Japan, capturing championships and earning a global reputation for his elite athleticism and ring IQ. After arriving in WWE, he reached new heights under the guidance of Zelina Vega, winning the NXT Championship at TakeOver: WarGames in 2017.
On Raw and SmackDown, Andrade delivered instant classics against legends like Rey Mysterio and captured the United States Championship in 2019. After a hiatus, he made his emphatic return in the 2024 Royal Rumble Match and hasn’t looked back since.
Now a member of the SmackDown roster, Andrade made history again by becoming the second-ever WWE Speed Champion, defeating Ricochet in a lightning-fast showdown on June 14, 2024.
With a legacy behind him and championship gold in his sights, Andrade is once again proving why he’s called El Ídolo.
