Gunther is a force of nature. Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 250 pounds, his imposing presence in the ring is enough to send shivers down his opponents’ spines before he even throws a punch.
Known as The Ring General, Gunther’s punishing in-ring style is legendary — particularly his brutal knife-edge chops, which leave opponents battered and bruised. With championships across the globe, he made his mark in NXT UK, where he ended Pete Dunne’s 685-day reign to become WWE United Kingdom Champion. His reign lasted a staggering 870 days, cementing his place as one of the most dominant champions in recent history.
Making his SmackDown debut alongside Ludwig Kaiser, Gunther immediately sent a message to the locker room. In just three months, he captured the Intercontinental Championship from Ricochet and went on to become the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time, holding the title for a historic 666 days before losing it at WrestleMania.
In 2024, Gunther added even more gold to his collection, winning the King of the Ring tournament at WWE King and Queen of the Ring, and at SummerSlam, he dethroned Damian Priest to become the World Heavyweight Champion.
