Becky Lynch biography
Hardened by a career defined by betrayal, disappointment and underestimation, Becky Lynch decided to take her destiny into her own hands and force her way to the top of the mountain by throwing off anyone, friend or foe, who was blocking her path.
The results speak for themselves. Lynch took over the Women’s division in 2018 when she won her second SmackDown Women’s Championship, leading an invasion of Raw that left Ronda Rousey demoralized and humiliated — this despite Becky suffering a concussion in the process. The Man made her mark again by winning the 2019 Royal Rumble Match to earn a World Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 35.
That opportunity eventually became the first women’s main event in WrestleMania history where The Man defeated Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair to claim both titles in their Winner Take All Match.
Becky would go on to become the longest-reigning Raw Women’s Champion in history, fending off anyone in a pair of boots who was brazen enough to stand in her way. Her reign finally came to an end in May 2020 when Lynch announced that she was pregnant and relinquished her cherished prize. She returned at the following SummerSlam as “Big Time Becks” and proved that she’s still the top of the Women’s division.
In 2023, Lynch would become a Triple Crown Champion after she won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Lita. Later that year, she captured the one championship in WWE that had eluded her when she defeated Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s Title to become the sixth Women’s Superstar to be crowned a Grand Slam Champion.
With a list of accolades so long that few Superstars can match, Lynch left WWE in May 2024. Rumors circulated for a year that The Man hung up her boots for good until she returned alongside her protege Lyra Valkyria at WrestleMania 41 to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
No matter the obstacle, Lynch will not denied.
